Mirriam M. Cepero, a beloved pillar of strength and support, passed away on May 16, 2025, at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor, Florida. Born on June 9, 1939, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Mirriam lived a life marked by her unwavering faith, dedication to family, and rich cultural heritage.

A proud member of the Jewish community, Mirriam's conversion to Judaism was one of her proudest accomplishments. She actively embraced her faith, observing Shabbat and taking joy in preparing Shabbat dinners that brought her family and friends together. Her love for Puerto Rican cooking was evident in her kitchen, where she welcomed many into her home.

Mirriam was known for her vibrant spirit and her desire to engage with others. She had a natural gift for entertaining those around her and often shared her love of reading, crafts, and prayer. The siddur (prayer book) held a special place in her heart, symbolizing her devout connection to G-d, the eternal one. She also aspired to be a lawyer, reflecting her passion for justice and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Her journey included a memorable trip to Israel, which deepened her connection to her faith and the land that she embraced wholeheartedly. Mirriam's ability to perform acts of loving kindness left a lasting impression on those she met, as she had a remarkable talent for making strangers feel welcomed and cherished.

Throughout her life, Mirriam remained connected to her roots while contributing to her community as a former member of Temple B'nai Israel in Clearwater, Florida. Her nurturing spirit and commitment to family were unwavering. She is survived by her two loving sons, Morgan Isaac Lopez Cepero and Morvin Lopez Cepero, her sister Margarita, her cousin Margarita, and her dear friend Marlene Jacobs-Dijkstra (Hessel).

Mirriam was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Rodriguez. Her legacy as a woman of strength, faith, and kindness will be forever remembered by those whose lives she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.

Burial will take place in Puerto Rico.
