Milton Benson Heilweil, born in the Bronx, NYC, author, entrepreneur, and a lover of horses.

Known as Mickey by friends and acquaintance, has passed away on April 4, 2025 after 95 years of a good life.

Mickey was a positive thinker. His wife of 72 years was a negative person, a perfect match. Debbie predeceased Mickey, when she passed away July 31, 2023. Together they had three children, Mindy/Marty Teich, Jordan and Richard. Two grandsons, Paul Teich, Daniel Teich/Shira. Great grandson, Itai, great grand daughter, Rissa. Grand daughter Jessica/Joe Camporeale, Danielle/Greg, Nichole and Hayden, Danielle and Coleman

A miracle survivor of bladder cancer, 2018. Left Mickey with only one diseased stage 5 kidney disease. Carefully watching his diet, he survived 95 years of good life.

Debbie and Mickey enjoyed cruising. The last cruise to the Caribbean, counted 54 cruises to many interesting countries.

Mickey served in the US Army, spending thirteen months in Okinawa which he referred to "as the Garden Spot of the Pacific.

After discharge, Mickey found employment with a company selling dry cleaning machines, and a unique laundry identification machine. He was assigned to manage the sales of the identification machine. Mickey's sales were outstanding. After eight years of successful sales to laundries throughout the United States, Mickey was appointed President of the Company. He traveled all over the world visiting laundries and observing their processes. As a result he developed a product to eliminate a complete operation common in all laundries. After testing, Mickey formed a Company and successfully sold his product for six years when at 87 sold his company and retired.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2025 at Temple Beth-El, 400 Pasadena Avenue South with Rabbi Amy Morrison and Rabbi Michael Torop, officiating. Burial will follow in Royal Palm Cemetery - South.

Donations in memory would be appreciated to the Wounded Warrior Project,  Suncoast Hospice Foundation or Temple Beth-El Brotherhood Fund.
