With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Linda Lee Pitchon, who left this world on December 7, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on February 14, 1949, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Linda spent her life in Pinellas County, a community she cherished, most recently residing in Clearwater, Florida.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Jean Williams. She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Victor Pitchon; her three loving children and their spouses—Cassondra Rogers-Royael and Jennifer Royael, Garmaine Ariella Pinhas and Alon Pinhas, and Simeon Hadar Pitchon; her adored grandchildren—James Barkey, Eitan Pinhas, Eli Pinhas, Aviya Pinhas, and Adiv Pinhas; and her precious great-grandchildren—Scarlet Barkey and Jamison Barkey.
She is also survived by her sister, June Williams-Salvato; her brother, Alfred Williams; her nieces Dawn Britner, Katrina Britner, Kathy Williams, Shannon Nugent; her nephew Seth Williams; as well as her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and their children, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Throughout her life, Linda dedicated herself to children, education, and compassion. She taught Hebrew school at Beth Shalom Synagogue, served as a teacher’s aide for Pinellas County Schools, and operated a home daycare so she could raise her own children while nurturing many others. Her lifelong commitment to helping young people learn, grow, and feel safe touched countless families.
Linda was a passionate advocate for human rights, always speaking up for those who needed a voice. She believed deeply in kindness, fairness, and standing firmly beside the underdog. Her empathy was boundless, extending not only to people but to animals of every kind. Dogs, cats, horses, and birds all found comfort, gentleness, and a loving home in her care. She also possessed a remarkable green thumb, able to revive even the most hopeless plants, filling her home and garden with vibrant beauty and the bounty of her nurturing touch.
Linda’s life was a testament to love in action—quiet, steady, and generous. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering moral courage. Her family will forever carry her memory in their hearts, grateful for the immeasurable impact she had on their lives and the world around her.
She fought long and hard, enduring twenty years of compromised health with remarkable strength, always rising above her pain and remaining fully present with those she loved. The only thing she fought for more fiercely in life was the wellbeing of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made in her honor to Beth Shalom Synagogue. She is laid to rest at Sylvan Abbey, in the Gan Moresh section.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
