Hans Peter Schuckert

Hans Peter Schuckert, beloved husband to Kathleen, father to Brendan, passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on July 13, 1941, in Gross-Breesen, Germany, Peter dedicated his life to his passion for food and hospitality, serving 3 generations of families at The Wine Cellar restaurant. He was also a proud member of La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

Beyond his culinary success, Peter was an active volunteer with local charities, reflecting his generous spirit.

He was a worldly traveler and also a devoted collector of antiques.

Peter will be remembered for his warmth, love for adventure, and the flavorful experiences he created at his restaurant. His legacy as a husband, father, restaurateur, volunteer, traveler and mentor will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
