Charlene Goodman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on July 18, 2026, in Clearwater, Florida, at the age of 79. Born in Augusta, Maine, Charlene was a brilliant and loving vibrant spirit, formidable intellect, honest and with an unwavering love for her family and friends.

Charlene's life was marked by achievement, both professionally and personally. She built a respected career as an accomplished accountant and administrator, a professional committed to honesty and forthrightness. She earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Her approach to her work reflected the very essence of her character: intelligent, creative, and marked by an abiding sense of responsibility and detail.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Charlene found joy and fulfillment in her passions and pursuits. She was an accomplished expert needlepoint artist, creating sparkling works that captured her creativity and provided comfort to those she loved. She was an avid reader who loved to travel; she had a special affinity for the Oregon Coast, United Kingdom, France and Italy, reveling in their rich histories and vibrant cultures. Among her cherished memories was an unforgettable journey with friends to Botswana, a testament to her adventurous spirit and her eagerness to experience the world’s wonders.

Charlene’s family was the light of her life, and her devotion to them never wavered. She is survived by her loving husband, Joel Goodman; her son, Aaron Goodman, and daughter-in-law, Antionette; and her adored grandson, Alex Goodman. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Harold Goodman; nephew, Noah Goodman; niece, Sarah Goodman; and her cousins, Roger Audette and Paul Audette, Julie Audette and Lyn Simonds. They, along with countless friends and loved ones, will forever cherish her warmth, honesty, and the strength of her convictions.

Those who knew Charlene remember her as loving and deeply caring, always willing to offer sage advice or a word of encouragement. Her forthrightness guided her loved ones through life’s challenges, while her creativity and brilliance inspired all who had the pleasure of crossing her path.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday July 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, located at 1750 Curlew Road in Palm Harbor, Florida. All who knew and loved Charlene are welcome to join in remembering and honoring the remarkable life she lived.

Charlene Goodman leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, intellect and kindness. Her memory will continue to inspire those she touched, echoing through the lives of her family and friends for years to come.
