Betty Levy, 84, passed away on November 1, 2026.

Born on June 20, 1942, Betty shared a loving life with her beloved husband, David Levy, and their two children, Ron and Sigal. In 1978, Betty and her family moved from Israel to Providence, Rhode Island, beginning a new chapter of their lives in the United States. In 1990, Betty and David relocated to Florida.

Betty devoted many years to raising her children and caring for her family as a homemaker. She inherited her love of cooking from her mother, Sara Gershuny, a passion that remained with her throughout her life. After her children grew up, Betty put that passion to work as a deli manager at Kash N Karry supermarket.

Betty was a kind and caring person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Her generosity and willingness to help those around her were among the qualities that made her special to those who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Levy, who passed away in 2007.

She is survived by her son, Ron Levy and his wife Carol of Clearwater, Florida, and her grandson, David Levy; her daughter, Sigal and her husband Brian Kennedy of North Scituate, Rhode Island, and her grandchildren, Deanna and Collin Kennedy.

She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Moshe and Sharon Gershuny; her nieces and nephew, Elana Gershuny, Jonathan Gershuny, and Daniela Heitzman and her husband, Jared Heitzman; and her great-niece, Emma Heitzman.

Betty will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, her generous spirit, and the love she shared with her family and those around her. She will be deeply missed.

May her memory be a blessing.
