Berenice "Berry" Ludwig, a beacon of light and joy, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on March 18, 1948, Berry lived a life that not only celebrated the beauty of existence but also profoundly touched everyone who had the privilege to know her.

Berry was a remarkable individual whose spirit undoubtedly brightened every room she entered. She possessed an innate gift for making others feel seen and valued, and her unwavering kindness resonated throughout her life. Berry never spoke ill of anyone; her positive outlook and gentle demeanor transformed the atmosphere around her, creating a space of warmth and acceptance.

An avid sports enthusiast, Berry's passion for bowling and golf inspired many. She achieved a personal milestone with a striking high game of 279 in bowling and competed valiantly in the Women's All Star Championship and New York State Bowling Tournaments. Her commitment to mastering her craft and her love for the game exemplified her dedication and tenacity.

Beyond the lanes, Berry was an adventurous soul who cherished her travels, with Aruba holding a special place in her heart. She was also an avid cruiser, finding delight in exploring new destinations and trying her luck at the casino. These experiences brought her immense joy and enriched her perspective on life, allowing her to share enchanting stories filled with laughter and excitement.

Berry’s life was also deeply defined by the joy and love she held for her devoted husband, her cherished siblings, her beloved grandson and granddaughter-in-law, and her two precious great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest happiness in the moments shared with them. That love—steady, generous, and unconditional—will continue to live on through the generations she so dearly adored.

Memorial service will be 4:00PM on Friday, January 30, 2026 at St. Vincent's Episcopal Church, 5441 9th Avenue North, St. Petersburg.
