Alexander Fooks, 80, of Largo, Florida, passed away on June 23, 2026.
Alexander was a man who brought warmth, laughter, and energy into every room he entered. Funny, friendly, and genuinely joyous, he possessed a rare ability to connect with people and leave them with a smile. For 15 years, he dedicated his skills and hard work as a mechanic for Lance, a career where his problem-solving abilities and dependable nature were deeply valued.
Above all else, his greatest passion was his family. He treasured every moment spent together, whether during daily routines or special gatherings. He looked forward to traveling to New York and North Carolina, making regular trips to visit family and ensure those close bonds remained strong despite the miles.
At home, Alexander found immense pride and peace in working outdoors. His yard was a reflection of his dedication, tended to with meticulous care, but his absolute pride and joy were his fruit trees, which he nurtured season after season. When he wasn't working in his garden, he enjoyed the quiet pleasures of reading books, playing competitive games of backgammon, and staying connected to his heritage through Russian television programs, movies, and news. His vibrant spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nelya Fooks; his devoted children, Tanya Orshansky and her husband Gena, and Igor Fooks and his wife Inna; and his cherished grandchildren, David Orshansky, Brian Orshansky, Jonathan Fooks, and Anna Bella Fooks. He is also survived by his dear cousins, Mariya Lozovcky, Vladik Lozovcky, Dina Chesky, and Nela Sebinski.
Alexander’s life was defined by the simple pleasures of a job well done, a blooming garden, and a room full of family laughing together. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and devotion that will continue to grow in the hearts of everyone who loved him.
